NEW: Designed to withstand the heaviest loads
NEW: The AUTOPART EFB SMF (Enhanced Flooded Battery – Sealed Maintenance Free) battery is designed for long-haul vehicles, those with hotel functions, and those meeting the Euro5 and Euro6 standards, where the batteries are mounted on the vehicle's rear axle. This battery boasts the strongest parameters available for trucks: 240Ah capacity and 1250A cranking current.

AUTOPART EFB SMF is a technologically advanced product that meets market requirements for sealed truck batteries with exceptional cyclic durability.
Trucks operating long distances also serve as a rest area for the driver. Batteries, drawing power during so-called "hoteling" stops, are deeply discharged daily, sometimes to levels below 50%. Prolonged charging from this level adversely affects battery durability and reduces its lifespan.
AUTOPART EFB SMF combines two technologies that counteract the effects of frequent discharge, providing the performance, reliability, and durability of batteries tailored to the needs of modern trucks.
- EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) technology involves reinforcing the electrodes with a special carbon additive (new generation NANO CARBON 5XD), which extends the battery's lifespan and ensures reliable starting in extreme temperatures, which is particularly important for vehicles operating in difficult terrain and changing weather conditions.
- The labyrinthine design of the SMF (sealed maintenance-free) double lid, containing a set of explosion-proof inserts, ensures the highest level of safety by reducing the emission of electrolyte vapors.
- Stabilizing Core
The AUTOPART EFB SMF battery uses a special core to stabilize the cells, which significantly impacts the results of durability tests. Field tests conducted by AUTOPART show that truck batteries are primarily exposed to displacement along the "Z" axis (up-down). A key challenge for the engineers was therefore to stabilize the battery's internal structure.
When designing the next-generation truck battery, the focus was on reinforcing the internal structure to minimize the impact of shocks and overloads. The stabilizing core and additional bonding of the plate-bridge connections are key innovations that significantly increase the battery's resistance to extreme operating conditions.
The latest generation vibration system, located in the AUTOPART laboratory, allows for verification of the project results. It allows for testing batteries in three perpendicular axes: X, Y, and Z, according to industry standards, military requirements, and specifications from leading truck manufacturers.
The EFB SMF battery with a stabilizing core is available in Type C with a capacity of 240 Ah and a starting current of 1250 A.
