KAMENA RALLY TEAM IS THE FIRST POLISH TEAM TO WIN THE DAKAR CLASSIC TRUCK CLASSIFICATION.
This is a moment that will go down in global motorsport history. For the first time in the history of the Dakar Rally and the Dakar Classic, a Polish team has won the truck classification.

The KAMENA Rally Team, composed of Tomasz Białkowski, Dariusz Baśkiewicz, and Adam Grodzki, won the top trophy in its category at the 2026 Dakar Classic in the legendary twin-engine DAF BULL 3300.
This victory has symbolic, sporting, and historic significance—both for Polish motorsport and for the very idea of the Dakar Classic, where the history, technology, and spirit of old rallies meet the extreme challenge of the present.

"We stepped into great shoes. We were racing in a vehicle that had won Dakar Rallies many years ago—back when we couldn't even dream of it," says Dariusz Baśkiewicz, team navigator.

"We always felt that this vehicle was pushing us forward. Despite its age, despite minor issues, it simply wanted to take us to the finish line and prove something."

The legendary DAF BULL 3300, built to win during the golden era of the Dakar, has once again made history – this time driven by a Polish team.

"Our passion, dedication, and the complete commitment of the entire team brought us to the finish line with this historic victory. I am incredibly proud that the Polish flag is flying at the Dakar finish line as the winner in the truck category," emphasizes Baśkiewicz.

The KAMENA Rally Team had already made rally history by winning Stage 3 of the overall Dakar Classic 2026 – the first truck in history to achieve this feat. However, winning the overall truck classification adds to the story.

"Winning the stage in Stage 3 was something special. We won the overall standings—something Jan de Rooy, the manufacturer of these vehicles, dreamed of. But today, by lifting the top trophy in the truck category, we achieved something we never imagined would happen so quickly," he adds.

For Tomasz Białkowski, the team's driver, the Dakar Classic was supposed to be, above all, an adventure.

"We came to Saudi Arabia with the mindset of having a great adventure and gaining experience. But the results we achieved from the very beginning really surprised us. We got better and better with each stage," he says.

"We made rookie mistakes, but we quickly learned our lesson. And it paid off. This is a dream for many drivers—and we fulfilled it today."

Adam Grodzki also emphasizes the uniqueness of this achievement, noting the difficulty of the equipment and the legendary vehicle.

"We won the trucks, and we're in ninth place overall. I admire Jan de Rooy for driving that car at such speeds. It's not an easy vehicle," he admits.
"At the finish line, the other competitors said it looked like the historic duel between Jan de Rooy and Vatanen in 1988. It's a huge satisfaction for us. I'm happy and very grateful for the support—especially to my wife."

A STORY THAT WILL LAST FOREVER
The KAMEN Rally Team's victory isn't just a sporting triumph. It's proof that passion, determination, and the courage to pursue dreams can take a team from a country without a Dakar truck tradition to the very top of the world's most legendary rally.

For the first time in the history of the Dakar Classic, the winning truck wears the red and white colors.

This is a moment that will be etched in gold—not only in the annals of the rally, but also in the history of Polish motorsport.

KAMENA Rally Team has just become a part of it.
