Mr Jacek Bąk, the founder of AUTOPART honored by the President of the Republic of Poland

Jacek Bąk, founder and owner of the AUTOPART company, was awarded the Gold Medal for Long-Term Service, awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland. On behalf of President Andrzej Duda, the award was given by Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology. The ceremony was part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Association of Producers and Importers of Accumulators and Batteries (SPIAB), of which the winner is one of the initiators.

Jacek Bąk is the founder and co-owner of AUTOPART, a leading Polish manufacturer of car batteries, a company with Polish capital, built organically by the Bąk’s family for 37 years in Mielec.

During the 20th anniversary of SPIAB, Jacek Bąk was awarded the Gold Medal for Long Service. Pursuant to Article 138 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and the Law on Orders and Decorations, the "Medal for Long-Term Service" is awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland as an award for exemplary, extremely conscientious performance of duties arising from professional work. Jacek Bąk received the label from the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology Jadwiga Emilewicz. Collaborators and family were present at the ceremony, including Monika Bąk, daughter, current president of the board of AUTOPART SA.

Mr. Jacek Bąk was born in 1950. He graduated from the Technical University of Cracow in the field of mechanical engineering, Technology of Machine Construction. He practiced this passion effectively, by expanding his factory with new machines and devices, both by purchasing and by using his own solutions. In 1982, he decided to take a bold step in life - he resigned from the secure position as a designer at the airline plant WSK PZL Mielec in the Research and Development Center, where he dealt with equipment in aircraft cabins and decided to set up his business. He began by regenerating the batteries in the garage. Over 30 years, he became the owner of a modern factory producing nearly 2.5 million pieces of batteries per year. This year, he celebrates its 50th anniversary of professional work, he still participates in all strategically important projects of the company. In addition, he was a member of the scientific council of the Central Laboratory of Batteries and Cells for years, initiated the creation and worked on the board of the Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Accumulators and Batteries in Poland (SPIAB), he’s also a member of the Business Center Club. Privately, she is a very energetic person, open to new ideas and solutions, a visionary who motivates to development and activity.
